One of my friends told me that cycling is the fastest growing sport in the world (although after a quick check online it would seem that mixed martial arts is perhaps the fastest growing sports in the world so i’m not entirely sure what to believe) so we thought we’d do a little tribute to the fastest man on two wheels – Mark ‘The Manx Missile’ Cavendish.
The muse came to visit and her parting words were ‘Sometimes a picture of a sexy girl holding a bike is all you really need…’
Cheers

This was a commission for our good friend Dave (a.k.a. DWTVLA). Everyone has a friend called Dave and whilst they are all as different as snowflakes they are all cut from the same cloth. I think their parents would have loved to call them something different but i reckon you just know when you’ve got a Dave on your hands and have to obey protocol and call them as such. To do any different would be spitting in the face of common courtesy and established tradition. It’s just so the rest of us know where we stand.
Anyway, this particular Dave has been working in LA recently. You can just tell by his face that he works in ‘meeja’ and whilst in LA has evolved to become a self facilitating media node. I know this for a fact as i’ve seen him with his Wasp T12 Speechtool in hand barking orders to his flea-bitten lackeys. Oh how he’s moved on since being McDonald’s employee of the year…
Cheers

Trying to do these little write-up’s can sometimes be more than a little challenging. Sometimes it’s easy and it practically writes itself but sometimes i’m just sat in front of the screen trying to find some pithy comment to make which will amuse my reader(s). ‘Zap!’ has proved to be one of the tough ones. I’ve been sat here for a while now and this is all i’ve got:
“‘Zap’ is an onomatopoeia and, as onomatopoeia go, ‘zap’ is certainly a good one. Probably not the best but certainly up there.”
Is that really good enough? I’m of the opinion that it isn’t but like i said it’s all i’ve currently got. I could try and make up something funny about the lady in the hat but i’m just not feeling it today. Maybe i should go and do some art instead of typing away…
Cheers

Valentine’s Day… What a complete waste of time and money. I’m not really a big fan of Valentine’s Day. I thought it best to get that out of the way first although today’s offering probably makes that quite clear. Not that i’m against people expressing their love for one another (as long it’s consensual, of course!) in fact i’m all for that – but it’s just the fact that it’s so commercialised and now comes with such expectations. I think i’d probably prefer to buy someone flowers or go for dinner on just about any other day of the year. Surely the only fun to be had on Valentine’s Day was sending cards anonymously when you were at school?
There’s a large number of Valentine’s themed prints available to cash in on today’s ‘festivities’ but we thought we’d cater to those for whom Valentine’s Day is nothing to celebrate. So Relationship Mitosis is dedicated to all those who won’t be out for an over-priced dinner this evening.
All that said I’m not a complete buzzkill and hope that everyone has a lovely day!
Cheers
id-iom loves you
