Girls just wanna have fun

So it’s time to open another door on the id-iom Yuletide Fundom advent calendar…

Today’s offering is called ‘Girls just wanna have fun’. Surely everyone likes a pretty girl who is flashing at them (her smile i mean, obviously)? Well I for one certainly do and i’m pretty sure i’m not alone. I’ve added just a little bit of colour to this one but wanted to keep it minimal. It’s a single layer A3 screen print with unique hand finishing.Signed on reverse. And starting at a measly 99 pence! Here’s the Ebay link

We’ll be back with something new tomorrow so remember to check back…

Cheers

Feminax

Feminax

As we were moving all our stuff out of the House of Pain(t) we came across a few stencils that had been cut and then promptly disappeared under a box of stuff only to reappear whilst we were packing our studio and materials away. It’s clearly bad form to bother to cut a stencil and then not even test-spray it so we decided to remedy that straight away by spraying it on one of the windows.

I can’t remember what exactly I was going to use this superhero lady for but all I can remember is that I’d christened her ‘Feminax’ (as it said so on the stencil) and, as it turned out, had forgotten to do a colour layer for her underwear so have decided that she, like the Invisible Woman (from the Fantastic Four), has the ability to make her crotch area invisible. I’m not entirely sure what practical use this would have but then not all superpowers have to be useful. And she could probably find work in the adult entertainment industry if she ever gave up being a super heroine.

I do actually have a photo of her male counterpart, Claymore, who’s some kind of alien but it’s of such poor quality (the camera was having a hard time handling the contrast between the dark room and the bright outside) that I think that he probably won’t see the light of day…

Horse Walking Weird

So another day and another couple of pieces in  picture in id-iom’s Yuletide Fundom Demolition Sale – both are A3 and we have started the auctions at a measly 99p! Game on!

The first piece is called ‘Walking Weird’. It’s A3 in size and consists of a hand drawn girl in the crab position dressed in a bikini with a watercolour background. Like you do. And it’s signed on the reverse. Here’s the Ebay link

Our second piece is titled simply ‘Horse!’ is an A3 screen print with hand finishing. It features two figures; one with a head of a horse the other a sexy woman in some kind of S&M gear. Need i say more?

Perhaps strangely the inspiration for this piece came from a toy horse that was bought at a market in Spain that had such magnificent packaging that he just had to be purchased. I can’t imagine the toy passed any safety inspections and was probably covered with lead based paint but i had no intention of sticking it in my mouth. He even had some text on the box which had been badly translated into English (I’m guessing from Chinese). The text reads:

‘Flips the tail, horse runs
Truly scamper action’

The toy and packaging were magnificent in their crappiness but it did supply us with hours (well, minutes) of entertainment whilst drunk one night and at least we managed to get some artwork out of it. All in all i’d say it was a pretty good toy. It’s just a shame we don’t have a picture of the toy or box for you to marvel at.

It’s A3 in size and is a screen print with unique hand finishing including acrylic and spraypaint. Signed on reverse. Here’s the Ebay link

Cheers
