She dangerous! She’s deceptive! She’s deadly! She’s a Daughter of the South for sure. You may have seen her once but you’d never recognise her again. They are legion. When the nation calls an enigmatic and elusive Daughter of the South is sure to answer. And roll opening credits.

That would be my pitch for my imaginary TV series ‘A Daugther of the South’. Think somewhere between Breaking Bad and Sons Of Anarchy but set in wartime UK. Oh bugger. I’ve just come up with a parallel universe version of Peaky Blinders haven’t I? Great minds and all that…

Anyway, she’s on a 45 x 40cm wide canvas and is looking for a new home. Drop us a line if interested…

The inspiration for this picture comes from a conversation I recently overheard in the pub. One of the participants in the conversation was waxing lyrical about beautiful women he had met during his life and how as soon as he met them he had love in his heart (although he didn’t put it quite so delicately).

Somehow this got my attention and after percolating in my head for a while it was time to put paint to paper.  Thinking about it I’m not sure how the conversation ended but judging by his company in the pub I’m doubtful of whether he’s got one of these beautiful women to go home to…
