We have accepted a challenge to post ten imaginary albums that we love – one album per post, no explanations, no reviews – just covers.
Let’s promote the love of imaginary music.

With Christmas already begun by many of the bigger corporations we thought it about time we kick off our Christmas campaign with the first in our series of thoughtful and heartwarming decorations to adorn the id-iom Christmas tree.
‘Let’s not talk about politics’ is a somewhat blunt but still very thoughtful Christmas message. Family arguments have sprung up about less. Firmly aimed at one of my family (hi Mum!) we can only hope this comes to pass. But i doubt it.
Designed by my fair hand but cut by laser robot out of 5mm ply. Well, it’s not strictly speaking a robot but I like to think so. Then, a lick of spray paint and a ribbon is added and she’s good to go.
Whatever festive message will we have next…
Cheers

Last time we met time-travelling warrior poet Azrael Goldbeard he was in his undercover human form sometime in the 1970’s but since then he’s mistakenly jumped to 2019 Brexit Britain and it has got him well and truly wound up. He’s not thinking of a spiffy haiku now but has reverted to his powered up warrior form as he can sense the awesome amount of negative energy all around him.
His beard is now composed of pure energy and his eyes are literally leaking the power of a dwarf star. We can only hope he decides to put this energy to good use rather than taking off and nuking the entire site from orbit and hightailing it back to the 70’s. I, for one, welcome our new galactic overlords…

In these dark and worrying times we all need heroes and I present the superhero power couple of Lady Themis and Dishonest Robin. You may be wondering what the lady of good counsel and personification of justice is doing hanging around with a robin who will steal, lie and cheat his way to gates of hell (and the deaf and dumb boy whom Robin commands around as his glorified perch/sidekick).
Well, when Lady Themis is disregarded in her judgement then Dishonest Robin comes into his own. He dons his superpower guise and turns into Nemesis, Lady Themis’ rightful antithesis. As Nemesis, he brings just and wrathful retribution to all of those who would not heed Lady Themis’ wise counsel. Basically a superpowered version of good cop, bad cop. Probably best to do just do what she suggests…
‘Lady Themis and Dishonest Robin’ are each on a 61cm x 61cm wooden panels and are made using the magic of acrylic, spray paint and paint pen. Drop us a line if you’d like to give them a new home…

Now I’m not entirely sure what these boys are up to but you can bet your bottom dollar it isn’t something wholesome that your mum would approve of.
In our post-brexit future however all street corners will come equipped with at least a couple of these lads hanging around who’ll you have to bypass on the way to your zero hour contract minimum wage job that you’re desperately trying to keep a hold of. Grim isn’t it? But, as they say, failing to plan is planning to fail.
‘Bovver Boys’ is still available via Play Dead gallery until 16th Feb. She’s A2 and is £130 if anyone wants to give her a new home.

This is only a test spray as you can possibly tell by the registration stars. There was to be some colour added but I think it has a bit more menace as it is…

The year is 2035. The place is London. Brexit has come and gone. Rogue stormtroopers now roam the streets. They’re armed and looking for food – just like the rest of us. They said there would be ‘adequate food supplies’ in the case of a ‘no deal’ brexit. They lied. The future is coming…

With the referendum now complete and the UK voting to leave the EU it would seem that all and sundry are out to vent their political frustrations on facebook. I can only assume everyone else’s facebook feeds are just some variation on the same theme as mine. Even those who seemingly had no political stance just a few days ago seem to suddenly have a full battery of opinions. And he’s not scared to use them.
Here we have a piece examining the repercussions of the first Brexit flame war. In a candid letter home to his mum from the frontlines in the battle for internet supremacy one plucky keyboard warrior is sure his righteous indignation will protect him and that it’ll all be over shortly. He thinks he’ll be back with his kids before too long. If only he knew. This is only the first salvo…
