We Ride At Dawn…

It’s dawn on id-iom’s private Caribbean island. There’s a soft knock at the door and I’m gently reminded that I’ve got a call in 30 minutes. After a couple of lengths in the pool and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice I take the video call from the BBC documentary team chronicling the eventual but meteoric rise of id-iom to being the pre-eminent design/art team in the world. Today we’re being asked about the big idea that took us there – 3 in 1 designs…

It’s not that far fetched. Is it? Anyway, despite how great I think they are it’s up to you, the viewer, to decide that for yourself. It’s 3 in 1 performance art on a canvas. And if that isn’t a good trick then I don’t know what is. This rather opinionated gentleman is on a 60 x 40cm canvas and would desperately love to go to a new home. Drop us a line if that can be you…

Cheers

We ride at dawn…

Perhaps unsurprisingly you get some pretty odd results when you type ‘fuck the republic’ into Google. I was struggling with this here write up previously and that google search has just derailed my train of thought entirely.  It’s a picture of some guy with some text above. That’s all you’re getting from me today.

As usual I couldn’t really decide which colour background I liked so decided to do a couple of versions. She’s on A2 paper and is made using the magic of spraypaint, stencils and imagination. If you’d like to give her a new home then get in touch although based on today’s lacklustre write up I can completely understand if you didn’t.

Selene & Eos

Selene & Eos

Selene & Eos

We’ve all got busy work schedules but mythological sisters Selene and Eos cover 24 hours of the day between them. All day, every day since time immemorial so no wonder they look a little worn out. They probably need a good holiday but hopefully they’re not going to get one. They’re sisters to Greek sun god Helios but had important jobs of their own to take care. Selene was the goddess of the moon and brought the moonlight that allows a little illumination in  the darkness of night while her sister Eos was the goddess of dawn and personified the light of day. This picture then is from their small handover period just before dawn breaks. So there you have it.
