With wall one at Rah Rah Room completed it was then time to turn our attention to the next wall. The wall is situated directly ahead as you descend the stairs into the club so needed to be high impact and a clear indicator of the kind of night you’d find yourself in for. The decision was made that it was to be the lady in the necklace and fancy Rah Rah head dress. After just a weekend to get supplies and otherwise get prepared it’s then time to get to work. Once the lady was up and her head dress was just as fancy as can be came the somewhat laborious task of applying a load of diamantes to her necklace and a couple to her eyes to give them a bit of sparkle. The only remaining task was then trying to get a decent shot of it all. Which we didn’t seem to do very well at. I can only assure you that she sparkles beautifully and has lots of diamantes set into her necklace.
Cheers

This slightly sinister looking raven (or is he a large crow?) has found a sparkly pile of carbonado (or ‘black diamonds’ to you and I). The photo doesn’t really do it justice but there’s a load of glitter on those there stones and that’s what attracted him in the first place, as he has some magpie blood in him on his mother’s side. He knows their value and he’s prepared to defend them. With as much force as he can muster. Which could be quite a lot considering his size, evil looking red eye and imperious pose. I’d just leave him to it if I were you…

A Face for radio
This girl is undoubtedly beautiful on the inside but in this day and age I would imagine she would be considered to have a good face for radio. I think it’s the pouty bottom lip and the mismatched eyes. Although there is nothing wrong with that as I have mismatched eyes and a somewhat pouty bottom lip (especially when sulking) although I, of course, am stunningly good looking and my asymmetry is part of my charm…
More and more these days though, the less fortunate (i.e less photogenic) men and women of the world (‘interesting looking’ as my mum would say) are being moved aside and being replaced by identikit facsimiles of some supposed beauty. Just take a look at FHM’s hot 1oo sexiest women. Now I haven’t read FHM since I was about 14 but its pretty difficult to miss their 100 sexiest list as it has been over numerous websites – including the ever respectable BBC. If you take a look at the list though can you really say all the women on there are the sexiest on the planet? Sexy must definitely mean something different from when i was a lad. It now seems to mean that all you have to do is be seen on some fluffy reality TV and that’s it job done.
I should probably stop now, turn on the radio and get back to painting as there is a possibility I could be ranting all day…
Cheers

The Diamond Commission - 1 of 12
Superb. Friday is here again. And to celebrate such a momentous occasion we have a new print for your perusal. We were asked to produce a print which is to be given to each member of a hardworking team of tradesmen on completion of a building project. As I’m currently right in the middle of my black single screen obsession (well, two if you count the ‘id-iom certified’ stamp) it seemed pretty obvious what i was going to produce. As diamonds are both tough and valuable I thought they’d make an ideal subject for my design and so set to work. After a little design and some messing round with screens I had managed to produce 12 copies of ‘The Diamond Commission’. They are currently with our framer but should be back ready for distribution in the next few days. I hope they like them…
Cheers
