Godzilla – The Final Kiss

What are you meant to do when the end of days is upon you? It all began in the 70’s with some demented genetic testing on Komodo Dragons. What we are left with is the gigantic nuclear-fire breathing colossus known only as Godzilla. He’s single handedly destroyed half the world and he’s headed this way. Some people will try things they’ve never done before but they always deemed a bit risky before they knew their world was going to end. This couple however felt that love was the answer and decided that all they needed before the reckoning was one final kiss. The irony of the situation is that poor old Godzilla is himself looking for some affection. He’s been roaming the globe looking for his one true love and is going to leave no stone (or tower block) unturned in his search for her. Silly humans.

A2 in size and made using the magic of spray paint, acrylic, paint pen and charcoal

Magic Mike

I’ve got an idea and I think Netflix are going to be very interested…

Once upon a time there was a little boy called Mike. Mike was a scrawny little snot nosed punk of a kid but he was still just a little boy all the same. One day Mike was daydreaming of all the important things he’d do when he was grown up – architect, mathematician, wizard and estate agent – he’d dreamed them all when along came a dragon and promised to give Mike everything he ever wanted for one small favour. Mike was somewhat naive to the mechanics of dragon romance and didn’t understand some of the bigger words so readily agreed. In the international incident that followed it’s not entirely clear the exact sequence of events but Mike emerged somehow unscathed and slathered in dragon juice clutching a small totem of himself. Now, when he rubs his magic totem strange things happen.

Godzillas v Rocket

On Saturday we packed up the id-iomobile with just about as much stuff as we could get in there (as we never like to travel light and be without something we may need) and headed for Peterborough for the Overground Arts paint jam. This collaboration piece was actually our second piece of the day and was painted alongside the ever affable Parlee. Our barely thought out plan was to have Parlee’s ‘Rocket’ character being attacked by our large and angry looking Godzilla. As we progressed we thought what better than having Rocket deal with two Godzilla’s – both of which were now to be sporting laser eyes. Whilst Rocket seems to be defending himself from the blasts his little fly companion seems to have suffered a direct hit. If it wasn’t for those pesky Godzillas…

We also had some added assistance from Process Smith in creating the clouds and rather surprised looking budgie at the bottom and Miss Wah for the kind loan of her bunny skull stencil which we turned into a little swarm of flying bunny skulls hovering near Godzillas’ head. Their intentions aren’t entirely clear but i suspect them to be evil.

Our ‘l’esprit de l’escalier’ moment came when driving back and we thought we should probably have added some parachute lines to Rocket. Ah well, c’est la vie…

Last Christmas I gave you my heart. This year to save me from tears i’m putting it all on Ebay.

I’ve been dashing through the snow all day just to deliver some more pieces for the id-iom Yuletide Demolition sale and they’re all starting at the austerity busting price of just 99p.

Stumpy Quayle

This picture shows Manx freedom fighter ‘Stumpy Quayle’ in a victorious pose after winning the Manx annual hipster hunt. Not one to be easily troubled he’s ruff, rugged and always spoiling for a fight. It’s made using stencils and watercolour with the added touch of glitter on A2 paper. Signed on reverse. Here’s the Ebay link.

The internet made me do it

If you listen to the internet all day only bad things will happen. You have been warned! This little beauty has been created using the magic of stencils and spraypaint and it’s on A3 card. Signed on reverse. Here’s the Ebay link.

Here Be Dragons!

I was reading something about ancient maps and how they would put something along the lines of ‘Here be Dragons’ (or maybe something like ‘Here be lions’) on unknown or unexplored areas so thought i’d come up with something inspired by that. I think it’s about 13 colour using about 9 stencils on A3 paper. Aren’t i clever? Signed on reverse. Here’s the Ebay link.
