Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth we were in Camden painting when we noticed the large wooden desktop propped nearby that had probably just been dumped that day (otherwise it would surely already be covered in paint). A couple of beers later and a little doodle seemed like the best way forward. So, in between getting the other piece finished and quaffing cold beer whilst trying to stay warm, this little bad lad began to reveal himself. Once he was there the text just seemed to suggest itself and seemed quite fitting as the whole area is due to be demolished this week. You can probably find him in a nearby skip by now…
Just like The Chipmunks and the Chipettes sang in 2009’s classic Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel (whilst giving their own inimitable version of Sister Sledge‘s 1979 disco hit ‘We are Family‘) ‘We are family, I’ve got all my brothers with me’. I think this just emphasises the importance of family connections (especially as id-iom consists of two brothers).
Families should stick together and this is exactly what this pair are doing. A cute brother and sister combo who just have to do everything together. Thick as thieves as they say and guess what – this particular duo are a pair of little tea leaves, when i was painting them they managed to rob me for £20.

A look at an alternative past perhaps. Wouldn’t it have been nice…
We were thinking of doing this as a print but i’m not entirely sure how many we’d sell! I’m not really sure what else to write on this one.

We have just got our grubby mitts back on the collaboration piece we sent off to Mimilove a short while ago and it’s looking sweet! We started off with a nice new wallpaper stencil then added the face holding his eyes. Then it was carefully packaged up and sent off to Mimi for some further TLC. Then there was a nervous wait to see what she would pull out of the bag to sort it out. But not to worry she has embroidered it up and hit it with some budgerigars. Now who’s a pretty boy?
