Be still my beating (yellow) heart

Praise be for the internet and websites like Urban Dictionary because without them I’m pretty sure both of us here at id-iom would be left in the social doldrums. Nearly every day I’ll see something that I have no clue about and have to research the topic before it is confirmed that I still don’t have a clue what’s going on.

In today’s example we’re highlighting the apparent significance of the yellow heart – as opposed to it being red or whatever other colour. I think it works like this: if person A was secretly in love with person B but person B would only ever hand out yellow hearts to person A then that means that person A is considered to be a BFF by person B rather than someone to be considered romantically. Got it? Now that you’re officially ‘woke’ and ‘lit’ you can hopefully appreciate our homage to the humble yellow heart and Karen’s failure to achieve her aims…

Made using acrylic, spray paint, paint pen and charcoal and is 42cm x 42cm.

Lonely Hearts

Lonely Hearts

Lonely Hearts

This sad truth is this girl has been wandering for some time in a sea of lonely hearts. She looks gaunt but that’s only because she has been wandering so long. Hopefully though the love of a good soul will soon rectify this…

It is A2 in size and is made using the magic of acrylic paint, spray paint and paint pen. Signed on reverse.

Nothing more to say

Nothing more to say

Nothing more to say

I was wondering what to write for this post last night and I had decided it was probably going to be a somewhat dark post but that was fine. Then on waking this morning with a sunny disposition and broad sunshine outside I thought perhaps Monday could do with something a little more cheery. Anyway, the lady in this picture has been out all night enjoying the wholesome triumvirate of sex, drugs and rock & roll and is left feeling a little spent after the whole sordid scenario. But at least she enjoyed herself. Now it’s back down to earth with a bump as the weekend is well and truly over…

Cheers
