All Cats Are B…

Scruffy here doesn’t like cats and he never has. The way the prowl round like they own the place with their evil eye assessing any prey small enough and silly enough to get in their way. Oh yeah, they like getting their belly rubbed and are cute when their owner is about but, man, the things he’s seen them do when they think no one is looking beggars belief. Recently he’s been seeing a lot of cat video’s on the internet and he’s had just about enough.

No-one is saying graffiti is the answer. (It is though). He’s just a man on a mission to express himself. He’s just got finish this sentence first…

Time to drink!

Last time we saw this design it was on paper and featured only the smaller wallpaper logo. Since then I’ve decided a more permanent and slightly larger commemorative artwork was appropriate so decided to do another version of the design on slate.
For those new to class our local pub has closed recently. It lives now only in our memories. In better news however it’s hopefully due to reopen with new management after a bit of refurbishment. It’s unknown what they’ll be doing decor-wise so I thought it best to capture a little of it’s old character in case it disappears altogether.

Some of the old wallpaper was of indiscernible age but had a favourable design  so I thought I’d generate a little commemorative artwork from that for no other reason than it seemed like a good idea at the time. What we’re left with is ‘time to drink’ featuring a modified wallpaper design featuring a little cocktail set and a skull and crossbones. And there you have it.

It’s available if anyone is interested…

I like it and think I’ll go ahead and turn it into a larger stencil so it’ll make more sense on a bigger wall…

Twats

Sometimes when life gives you lemons you make lemonade and turn an otherwise bad situation to your advantage. On other occasions however one  must simply hastily down tools, throw one’s hand in the air and storm out in a huff whilst uttering the immortal phrase ‘Twats. The lot of you’. Here ends the lesson.

‘Twats’ is A2 in size and doesn’t care who knows it. She’s been lovingly made using the magic of spraypaint and stencils. Drop us a line if interested…

As a bonus how’s this little nugget – unlike many other swear words, ‘twat’ is included in Google’s auto-complete function. So now you know.

Brixton whichever way you look at it

Given that we’d already done a ‘Bristol’ ambigram design before Christmas I thought it only fair to get Brixton in on the action. Knowing my current proclivities if I did a load of them they’d all have stripes on them so I limited myself to just two versions for now. One with stripes, obviously, and one with a wavy patterned design. In all fairness I’d probably have to respray the blue and grey one if anyone wanted it as my favourite part, the Ace of Aces logo bit, hasn’t really come out very well but I thought I’d wait and see if there was any interest first. They’re A2 in size and I’d also be happy to re-do with any particular background colourways as requested if anyone felt so inclined as to ask. So there you have it.

As a side note if you’re not familiar with Ram John Holder’s song ‘Brixton Blues’ then I suggest you get yourself to Youtube pretty sharpish and give your ears a little treat.

Other people’s graffiti

In our continuing series of other people’s graffiti here’s a bit of unintentional dirt graffiti that caught my eye. I just like the way the lettering is like a ghost of the launderette sign that was obviously there for years. Pretty classy in it’s own special way.
