Self portrait – men with big noses

The other half of id-iom told me just the other day that I should probably stop drawing men with big noses and I thought he was probably right as I have about 20 half-finished pictures sat around featuring men with big hooters. But then I did an about turn.

With inspiration running low and no idea of what to paint I was staring vacantly out the window when my eyes refocused – and what did I see but my own face complete with statuesque Roman nose staring back at me. That was enough to get the creative juices flowing, so I quickly set to work on my latest self portrait. Something I said I’d never do again after my last attempt which resulted in ‘High Risk Hugo’.

This time things haven’t gone much better, it would seem I still have a penchant for making my face look more like a horror movie monster than what I actually look like or perhaps all these months of lockdown have been getting to me.

Also I spent far too long painting the colours in the background but I guess I’ve had some time on my hands.

Cheers

Bovver boys

Now I’m not entirely sure what these boys are up to but you can bet your bottom dollar it isn’t something wholesome that your mum would approve of.

In our post-brexit future however all street corners will come equipped with at least a couple of these lads hanging around who’ll you have to bypass on the way to your zero hour contract minimum wage job that you’re desperately trying to keep a hold of. Grim isn’t it? But, as they say, failing to plan is planning to fail.

This is only a test spray as you can possibly tell by the registration stars. There was to be some colour added but I think it has a bit more menace as it is…

USR&MM Stoya Pleasurebot

Here’s our latest piece that is currently on ebay

If you’ve ever read any Isaac Asimov books (and if you haven’t then you’re missing out) then you’re probably aware that many of his books concern robots which were created by his fictional company ‘USR&MM’ (which stands for U.S Robots & Mechanical Men).

Now I’m sure that Asimov didn’t exactly have ‘pleasurable’ purposes in mind when he developed his ideas on robots but you know that if we had these kind of things in the real world it would only be a matter of time (probably just minutes) before somebody had the bright idea of fitting them out for the oldest profession.

Anyway, here we have the promotional posters for the cream of the robotic crop. The state of the art, Android powered, ‘Stoya’ model Pleasurebot. In shops now…

She’s A3 in size and comes from an edition of 5 which are all different and hand-finished. She has been completed using the magic of screen printing, spraypaint and stencils. Signed on reverse.

Cheers

New drug makes old men red hot lovers

New drug makes old men red hot lovers

New drug makes old men red hot lovers

Now this doe-eyed lothario has you in his sights there is no escape! You’re probably thinking of Viagra or some such but you’d be wrong. This new chemical is distilled from the tears of a dodo and comes direct from our South American chemical research laboratory. Unfortunately, rather than just boosting your libido it actually makes you spontaneously combust at the same time and effectively turns you into a flaming love kebab. We’ll get this one nailed but until then who wants to be a firework?

Like the rest of this sordid little lot these pictures have been reimagined from actual news headlines. I fill my head with this grubby nonsense so you don’t have to. Vive la revolution!

Anyway, here we have a somewhat phallic looking promotional poster of sorts for the cream of the robotic crop. The state of the art, Android powered, ‘Stoya’ model Pleasurebot.  Coming soon…

She’s about 3.5m tall and 3.5m wide and is currently in place on a side street parallel to Water Lane in Camden (but the other side of the train tracks). I thought she was finished just as the rain started then finally remembered to install her cybernetic glowing LED eye just to give it that final futuristic touch. Hopefully it’ll be working for the next few weeks and we’ll be able to get a night shot before it runs out. Many thanks to The Real Art of Street Art  for sorting the space for us!

Let it drip from my soul

let it drip from my soul flickr

Some people say soul music drips with emotion but with this lady it is in fact her actual soul that’s slowly dripping away. She’s currently happy with that as well for she doesn’t really seem to care about normal life much any more, if at all. All that interests her now are things like dubious liaisons with pretty men, driving fast cars at breakneck speeds, getting her daily recommended intake of water through vodka and taking enough drugs to take down a fully grown elephant and its calf. And somehow she does all this with a wink and a smile.

To some she’s killing herself and to others she’s living her life to the full. Either way I hope she’ll grow out of it soon because i’m pretty sure it doesn’t have a happy ending…
