They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Eloquent as I undoubtedly am however I would be hard pressed to put into words the decision process that led to this picture being produced. I had a hard enough time getting the picture from conception to reality…
It started out life as a photo of a friend from Glastonbury festival a few years ago. Since then it has languished in digital development hell in the bowels of my computer before finally becoming the basis for this piece. Perhaps it’s obvious that there was no solid plan when I started and I was largely making it up as I went along or perhaps not. It’s difficult to get perspective on these things sometimes…

About a year ago we were rooting around in a charity shop as we are wont to do sometimes and came across the picture we have used as the background below. It only cost a few quid and i just knew that we’d come up with a good use for it… Along came the day when i’d cut my parachutist stencil when it all just seemed to fit so i digged the picture out and hey presto – new art!
