Lady in Red

I wanted to steer clear of the whole ‘I’ve never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight’ shtick with this write up but the way I’m feeling this morning I’m really not sure where else to go. I’m a little hungover is the problem. Inspiration has fled my meagre brain and I’m only just able to string a sentence together. Anyway, I’ll start with something simple. ‘The Lady in Red’ apparently started life as ‘the way you look tonight’ but there was another song with that name so he had to change it. And, just in case you didn’t know, Chris de Burgh claims to have ‘healing hands’ so should be able to sort out any nagging ailments if you ever get to meet him. In all truth the lady in the picture is wearing red and that’s all there is to it. That, and the fact that Lady in Red makes for a very effective earworm. If it starts playing in your brain it’s pretty tricky to make it stop. I’ll leave you now. Make what you will of it all…

Cheers

The Message

So, it’s Friday again. Three cheers for Friday! In celebration of the fact that the weekend is once more almost upon us and I haven’t done one in a while I have decided to gift you with another earworm. The gift that keeps on giving. If on viewing the above image Grandmaster Flash‘s ‘The Message‘ doesn’t automatically start playing in your head then please check here for more information. Your brain may be broken.

Living in the urban jungle that is London it’s hard not to sympathise with Grandmaster Flash and his notion that the relentless pace of city life can sometimes be overwhelming. Or as the man so deftly puts it – ‘it’s like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how i keep from going under’.

Cheers
